CALS - Computer-Aided Life Cycle Support

Initiated with a focus on the U. S. Dept. of Defense CALS program, the Georgia Tech CALS Technology Center is aimed at the development and application of information technology to solve problems in a wide variety of industrial and government contexts. Organizationally, the Center is structured into three main divisions, each with their respective thrusts:

Atlanta Electronic Commerce Resource Center (AECRC)

• Helping DoD organizations & vendors move up the electronic commerce continuum
• Training, outreach, technical support & services

Center for Information Technology Insertion (CITI)

• Industrial information technology solutions

Engineering Information Systems Lab (EIS Lab)

• Applied research & development for industry problems
• CAD/E/M tools, solutions, and consulting
• University & short courses, graduate students
• Research arm under Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering
